The additional transmitter for the Current Cost CC128 also comes with a sensor / clamp and is used to monitor a different circuit in another location.
The transmitter can be used to monitor loads independently from the main transmitter, for example in your garage or outbuilding. The transmitter comes with a sensor that can be placed around cables of up to 30mm. Two more additional sensors may also be purchased for the additional transmitter. The load on each sensor is added together when it is shown on the main LCD display but is available individually in the software. The transmitter can be selected via buttons on the front of the CC128 Envi and is also available in the XML data output.
The transmitter and sensor is setup in the secondary location. The sensor is clamped around the live cable to be measured. In a three phase application i.e. industrial, you will need two additional sensors. The transmitter can then be selected via a button of the front panel of the CC128 Envi.
